The Association annually offers the $10,000 John W. and Mary D. Nichols Scholarship to high school seniors. Students may be nominated for this scholarship by teachers, administrators or anyone not related to the student. The scholarship is based on the student's demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of Oklahoma history, as well as academic achievement, citizenship and leadership. As the name implies, the scholarship is made possible through the generosity of the late John and Mary Nichols.
